Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

At Frisco Paint & Body, Inc., we understand that you may have several questions regarding our services. Below, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to address your concerns. If you require further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us at 972-335-3515.

Q: Do I have to use the body shop that is suggested by my insurance company?

A: No, In the state of Texas, it is the law that consumers have the right to choose or not choose their own body shop for repairs that result from an auto accident, regardless of who is "at fault." If the insurance company tells you they will not "stand behind" or warranty the repairs unless you use their recommended shop, you are still protected by the exclusive warranty of Frisco Paint & Body, Inc.

Q: What happens if the insurance adjuster's estimate is lower than your estimate?

A: Quite often the adjuster is only taking into account damage they can physically see. Once we get the car to our shop, there is sometimes more damage than the adjuster could see. The insurance adjuster does not have the ability to take apart the vehicle so their estimate may be lower than ours. We will contact your insurance company at this point to ensure timely repair of your vehicle.

Q: Do I need to pay a deductible, and if so, who should I pay it to?

A: Your deductible is determined by your insurance policy. We encourage you to contact your insurance agent to confirm your deductible as per your agreed policy. Payment of the deductible is made directly to Frisco Paint & Body, Inc. as we are happy to accept payment in the form of Mastercard, Visa, and cash. If another party's insurance company is responsible for your repairs, you will not be paying a deductible.

Q: What determines whether a vehicle is deemed "totaled"?

A: Determining whether the vehicle is totaled or not is actually quite simple. If the cost to repair the vehicle is higher than the value of the vehicle, it is considered totaled. Frisco Paint & Body, Inc. does not determine whether the vehicle is totaled, your insurance adjuster makes this decision.

Q: How long will it take to repair my vehicle?

A: The amount of time that is required to repair your vehicle depends on the amount of damage there is to your vehicle. We will always give you an estimate of how long it will take to complete the work.

Q: Do you offer rental car assistance?

A: We are proud to have established a long-term relationship with local rental car providers who will be happy to provide your rental car needs.
